READY PLAYER ONE [Movie Review]

When the creator of a virtual reality called the OASIS dies, he makes a posthumous challenge to all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune and control of his world.

Ready Player One is a film based on a novel by Ernest Cline and directed by Steven Spielberg. It brings us to a world where everyone enters the oasis a video game where you can play it and enjoy it wherever you want to go.

Next to that, the film takes us to a world where we see everything of pop culture from now and from the times of the 80 ’. We enjoy how the creator of the Oasis challenges players to find 3 keys to get 50% of the game’s stocks.

In itself, the filming leads us to see how society has let technology control us and not only that as companies want to dominate and make us spend on unnecessary things.

In if one can lose the meaning of the movie for so many little things that we can see that they are from pop culture like the Delorean and

The Iron Giant. I can’t forget those 5 minutes with the Mobile Suit Gundam.

The CGI of the film was something spectacular so many special effects that one loses of the emotion. Just see how things connect and make a fantasy world come true.

Ready Player One can bring back many memories but the message is that we cannot let technology take us out of the real world. It’s like it says in the Ready Player One book.

“No one in the world gets what they want and that is beautiful.”
