Geeked Week 2022 Recap: All the Behind-the-Scenes Scoop From ‘Stranger Things’ Day

Geeked Week has officially entered the Upside Down. Netflix Geeked‘s five-day virtual event celebrating Netflix’s genre series, films and games traveled back in time to the 1980s for Stranger Things Day (Eggo waffles not included).

To celebrate the hit sci-fi series’ recent return, host Felicia Day sat down with the cast and creatives involved to get the juiciest behind-the-scenes stories from the making of Stranger Things 4, Vol. 1. Special guests include creators, executive producers, writers, and directors, the Duffer Brothers; executive producer and director Shawn Levy; and stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and new addition Joseph Quinn.

What was it like expanding the world of the show to California and Russia in Season 4? Which iconic horror films inspired the new episodes? What scene was the most challenging to direct? And which main character was supposed to — gulp — die?
