Top Gun Maverick [Movie Review]

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him.

Top Gun Maverick is the sequel that we thought we didn’t need but we did. Having so much flavor of the previous original film plus bringing back some familiar faces in the mix.

This film gave us what we all expected in an action packed dogfighting experience. Plus some enjoyable moments where you as a fan of Top Gun will be in tears and remind you why the first film is a classic of it’s time.

A simple plot-line where it takes us back to our favorite character captian. Pete and his new journey pf training some pilots for a big mission. As well we see some cathartic moments with certain characters of the previous film.

Top Gun Maverick has an amazing Cast within Tom Cruise. These young actors they brought a lot to the table with giving us legacy characters and presenting what it looks like the future of Top Gun if they continue the franchise. Plus with all these new talent that are coming in shows us the future of Hollywood.

All the dogfighting and sequences with the fighter jets are amazing and very interesting camera trick and movements. It actually feels as if you are in the plane with the pilots, This film i feel as if it should be watched in IMAX.

Having a well balanced story where you as the audience will enjoy all the Nostalgic moments and as well if you are new to Top Gun will enjoy going back to the previous film too understand some important moments in the film.

Top Gun Maverick is an amazing fun ride with a lot of great joyful moments and action set pieces that you will just want to jump out of your seat. A send off to the previous film and an open ending for the future of the franchise.
